Students from Mr. Ethan Medley's class at Franklin High School in Portland joined with OMSI and marked Public Science Day with a glider design competition! Kitty Hawk Flyer Model
In honor of International Public Science Day, and the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight, OMSI volunteer Al Wick has been building a scale model of the Kitty Hawk flyer, and using the process to teach visitors to OMSI's physics lab about flight. Youth Volunteer Projects
