OMSI's Science Education Resource Center (SERC) is filled with books, activities, videos and other resources for educators to use as they plan their science lessons. Work at OMSI or check out materials to work at home or at school. Or use our high-speed Internet access for your research.

SERC is also the home of OMSI's NASA Regional Educator Resource Center. NASA educational materials - including videos, lesson plans, audio tapes, slides, and publications - are available to be previewed or copied.

SERC is open every Thursday from 3:30-5:00pm, except holidays (SERC visitors should check in at the OMSI Membership Window). To make an appointment to use SERC at another time, please email register@omsi.edu.

Video Conferences: OMSI has been in the forefront of statewide distance learning technology for a number of years. We've recently upgraded our capabilities with the installation of a new, state-of-the-art video conference system as part of our STARS (Science, Technology, and Rural Students) program. Online Resources: OMSI has created a large number of teacher lesson plans on a variety of science and technology topics which can be downloaded for free. Don't forget to check out the Science Online section of our website for lots of great online activities and educational resources.

Every Thursday from 3:00 to 5:30, join OMSI educators to explore the museum's resources. Tour the museum, talk with OMSI educators, or explore the Science Educator Resource Center. Check-in at the Membership Window.

Educators are invited to examine OMSI's exhibits free of charge when planning science lessons or field trips to OMSI.* Show current school ID or OSTA card at the Membership window. You may also schedule a tour by emailing register@omsi.edu.

OMSI's Science Store offers a 10% discount to educators. Simply present identification such as school ID or OSTA card when making a purchase. Some exclusions apply.
